Mumbai Indians Win IPL 2026, Rohit Sharma Lifts Trophy in Fairytale Farewell Season

Mumbai Indians won the IPL 2026 title in one of the most dramatic finals in the tournament’s history, with Hardik Pandya hitting a last-ball six off Rashid Khan to win by two wickets and deny Gujarat Titans a second consecutive title.

In an extraordinary twist, the match-winning hit came on what captain Rohit Sharma confirmed is his final IPL appearance. The 39-year-old, who has now lifted the IPL trophy six times, was visibly emotional as teammates lifted him onto their shoulders at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rohit’s Final Innings

Rohit made 44 off 28 balls in a high-pressure chase of 187, steadying a team that was 62/3 at one point. His partnership of 78 with Suryakumar Yadav set the platform for Pandya’s finishing act. Player of the Tournament: Tilak Varma (542 runs at SR of 158).
